5 months

Our little Grace is 5 months old today so I thought I would give an update as to what she's been up to lately.

~ She weighs over 15 pounds and is over 25 inches long

~She's sleeping through the night

~She's eating rice cereal from a spoon.. and loves it!

~She loves to smile and laugh

~She reaches for toys that are in front of her

~She's spoiled rotten

~She loves to play with her hands

~She brings anything she can up to her face/mouth

~She will sit up when assisted

~She's almost rolling over

~She's spoiled rotten

~She splashes in the bath and gets Mom all wet

~She hates tummy time, but is getting really good at holding her head up high as well as lifting her chest off the floor

~She loves the TV, especially watching the NBA Playoffs with Dad and her Baby Einstein videos

~She was diagnosed at her last check-up with Muscular Torticollis and will be seeing a physical therapist to evaluate and treat the disorder

~Did I mention she's spoiled?

She is so much fun to have in our home and is growing and developing way too fast for us. She's no longer the teeny, tiny premie we brought home from the hospital and it saddens us just a little, but we love to watch her grow and learn new things everyday. She has a great personality and we look forward to seeing the person she will become.

Another Arrival

On May 9th my brother Nathan and his wife Courtney welcomed their baby girl into the family.
Karly Ann Erlenbusch was born at 2:01pm
She weighed 7lbs 5 ounces; 21 inches long
Welcome to the family Karly!
above: Sarah and Brianna, and Nate and Karly. I think Karly just might be bigger than her cousin Brianna.

I can't wait to meet my new nieces next month!

This one is for Brandon

When we were in Utah last month I was describing my master bathroom to my brother-in-law Brandon. Since then he has been wanting to see pictures, so here they are.
The vanity
The toilet and shower

Pretty amazing, eh? The picture really doesn't do it justice. It's pretty breathtaking in person. My favorite part is the tile countertop. You can't see it in the picture, but the backsplash has some white tile with lighthouses on it. I think it goes great with the pink floral wallpaper and the lavendar cabinets, don't you? The kitchen and the bathrooms are the projects we have left to tackle inside our house. Someday, someday
